Finds & Deals: Gift Ideas & Giving Back

I am always looking for unique (and sometimes funny) gifts for my friends and family.  This year, I have found a lot of fun gifts - and reasonably priced - all for under $25.  If you don't see anything in this list, be sure to check out some other picks here, such as the Grumpy Cat Book.  And, if you are a mom and looking for some much need laughter, you might enjoy this or if your husband is trying to adjust to being a new father (or a soon to be new father), he might like this guide.  For the sports enthusiast (in particular football), he might enjoy this.  And, if you are looking for things to wear this holiday season, you might like this look or this one (all budget friendly).

One other thing, Christmas is a time of giving, and I am so thankful for all that I have. Get the Look: Stripes

As I have mentioned before, Pink Peonies is one of my favorite style blogs for inspiration. One of the looks in particular is a striped dress paired with tights, turtleneck and booties for fall.  To recreate this look, I found a very similar striped dress at JCPenney - and for only $22!  This dress has a lot of wear-ability - and could be worn year-round.  Also, I would definitely recommend checking out JCPenney. They have some great dresses at budget-friendly prices like this perfect floral dress (that also comes in leopard).

How to Wear: Over the Knee Boots

Shoes are definitely a weakness of mine - especially boots and with the big trend of over-the-knee boots this fall - I have been looking for the perfect OTK boot.  If you are like me - you are wondering how to style them.  Here is some inspiration from two of my favorite style bloggers - Sydne Style and Corner Office Couture.  I am a jeans and jacket person, so I love how Sydne paired the Sam Edelman OTK boots with gray skinny jeans and a blue moto jacket for a modern, edgy look. I also like the more feminine, classic look of how Michele styled the Stuart Weitzman OTK boots with a classic black and white dress and Chanel handbag.  Both looks are great - and show the versatility and wear-ability of OTK boots, which are definitely on my wish list.

Animal print sweaters are a big trend right now.  This season a lot of stores seem to have animal print sweaters (or sweatshirts) in their collection.  Here are just a few of my picks.  I especially like #6 (Tracy Reese sweater for a steal!).  Which is your favorite - or what others have you found that you like?  I am always looking for great sweaters, especially for winter.

Look for Less: Floral Dress

Pink Peonies is one of my favorite style blogs.  I love Rach's style - I just wish I could own what's in her closet.  She has a classic, feminine, yet edgy look.  Since I can't always afford her looks, I thought I would take one of her looks I really liked and find some cheaper, more affordable options to recreate it.  If you don't already follow her blog, I would highly recommend it if you are looking for some style inspiration - you won't be disappointed.

Finds & Deals: Handbag for Less

Handbags are one of my favorite things to shop for and buy; however, even though it is something I use everyday, I do not like to spend a lot of money on them. Recently, I saw this handbag on one of my favorite blogs. I liked its look, but didn't want to spend the money, so I found this more affordable alternative, which I happen to like better, especially the embossed burgundy part.
