I thought I would change things up today and share a few daily beauty items that are my favorites.
1. Estée Lauder 'Anti-Wrinkle' Set - After reading about Estée Lauder's 'Anti-Wrinkle' repair on a few bloggers sites, I decided to give it a try. I got the promotional set, so I got all three products for less than the price of the Advanced Night Repair. Every night, I use this three step process and so far, I have been pleased. Also, it has a nice, pleasant smell, not too strong, but a relaxing scent.
2. NARS Lipstick - I love my NARS lipstick and liner. I have allergies to specific lipsticks and have tried a lot of different lipsticks and finally found that NARS does not bother my skin. It may be a little pricey, but it allows me to wear lipstick! A few of the colors I have tried are Casablanca, Afghan Red, and Heat Wave. Currently, I am looking for a new color for winter - a more of muted pinkish/red - some options I am considering are Flair or Dressed to Kill.
3. NARS Lipliner Pencil
4. Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour® Cream - I read about this product in InStyle a few years ago, and am so glad I did. It is great for dry skin. It is a thick emollient cream, similar a Vasoline, but I think it works better. I like Vasoline, too, but this works great for chapped skin, even lips - and is great for winter!
5. Total Effects Cream Cleanser + Blemish Control - A Blemish Control miracle -- This went out of stock recently, and I tried to find other products to replace it and could not. If you struggle with the occasional breakouts and like to use a cleanser, I highly recommend this product. It is not harsh or abrasive, and does the best job at handling breakouts by far! I was lost without it and am so glad it is back in stock.
6. MARC JACOBS Rollerball Trio Gift Set - I am not a big perfume person, but sometimes it is nice to wear something - and this is easy to carry along in your purse. (Also, this would make a great stocking stuffer gift for Christmas!)
7. Oil of Olay Complete - I have used this for years. It is a light, non greasy moisturizer, that I do not even know I have on. Also it has SPF 15 - so I have sun protection. Sun can do damage even in the winter, so I wear this year round. I also wear it in the summer when I am in the sun - even at the beach - and it is great protection. It doesn't irritate or cause breakouts like other sun protections do for me.
8. Pond's Clean Sweep Cleansing - I use these for a midday a "refresher" to remove the greasy build-up of the day. Also, it has a nice fresh scent and are a good pick up for the afternoon lull.
9. Clinique Rinse-Off Eye Makeup Solvent - I could not live without this. I have used it for years, and it works perfectly to to get rid of late day smudges or raccoon eyes after a shower. I use a Q-tip to easily go around my eye, and it doesn't irritate my skin. Also, it lasts forever!
10. L'Oreal Full Definition Voluminous - I have found this to be a great mascara - and reasonably priced. It thickens and lengthens but isn't too clumpy or thin like others I have tried.
11. Clinique 'Acne Solutions' Clearing Concealer - For the covering the occasional breakout, I like this product. I have used Clinique concealers for years. The concealer used to be more like an eyeliner applicator, which I liked better. This still works, but not as well as the previous one, in my opinion, but still a great product.
Do you have other beauty products you love?
I love the Marc Jacobs roller balls...they are so handy. I NEED some perfume in my purse, and even though I tend to carry pretty large purses, I don't want to carry a whole dang perfume bottle around with me and I don't really trust those travel perfume bottles (Travalo) they have out now. Marc Jacobs is one of my favorite scents...plus, I think this trio looks sorta festive :)
ReplyDeleteSo true, Chelsea!
