A few years ago, I got a pair of bold red pants at the Loft, which ended up hanging in my closet several months because I was afraid to wear them to work. I thought they were too bold.  I finally got up the courage to wear them after I was inspired by a look I found on how to style them.  I shouldn't have waited so long because from the first time I wore them, I have gotten compliments and others tell me how I inspire them to be daring enough to buy red pants and wear them. Recently, Emma Thompson was on the Ellen show wearing a red suit - I loved the look! It was styled perfectly and not overdone - since the red suit is bold enough on its own - it is best to keep the styling simple with neutral colors.  Just today, I found a similar suit at The Limited, and it is on SALE. You can get the entire suit for under $100, which is less than the jacket costs originally. I would definitely recommend it. This suit is traditional enough that it could be worn for a few years and would definitely transition well between seasons.
