Mustard Yellow, Leopard & Lost Rings

Shop My Look:
Shirt // Sweater // Boots

A collared shirt and sweater is a favorite combo of mine.  It is a classy yet casual look, plus it adds an extra layer of warmth in the winter.  My button down shirt is a favorite.

[And, a funny, well really not funny story... if you notice in the close-up picture with the watch and leopard calf hair pouch, my wedding rings are not on my finger.  Midway through taking pictures, I put some lotion on my hands.  As usual, I took off my rings to put on the lotion.  Well, I forgot to put my rings back on my hand.  Fast forward to after taking pictures - I am in the car ready to drive home - all of sudden I think - where are my rings????  I could not find them. After a little panic and searching,  I found them in the back pocket of my jeans.  (And, if only this was the first time. Over my years of marriage, I have managed to wash them (in the washing machine - full cycle) and another time, I put them on top of my luggage at the airport and then walked to my flight only to realize I had dropped the rings somewhere along the way (on a terrazzo floor!) - good news I found them - and those are only a couple of stories - there are more!)

Funny Outtakes
That one strand of hair that continually wanted to blow across my face - even though it wasn't even a windy day, or my eyes shut...

  1. HA! I "lose" my wedding rings all of the time too. When we first got our kitten (over 15 years ago), I was convinced that she swallowed them. I called the vet and I could tell they were trying to humor me. I found them about an hour later. It's such a panicky feeling though. And I love this sweater and the leopard. I am into mustard this season. I just wish I looked better in it. You have the perfect complexion and hair color for it.

    1. Thanks, Tracy. I would never think that yellow is my color - but it works, and then there are other colors I wish I could wear that I can't.

  2. First - thanks for the tip on the longer Halogen tees at Nordstrom! I am going to order one to try it out. Also, that's a bummer that the style design on the Essential shirts doesn't work for you anymore! I hate when a company changes the style or discontinues one of my staple items! Your outfit is a total classic and that mustard shade was made for your coloring. Glad you found your rings - what a relief!

    1. That leopard clutch is great because I use it as a make up bag for everyday - and then can use it on special occasion as a fun clutch.
