SHOP THE LOOK
LOFT has some of the best sales. I typically wait until they have 40% off regular-priced items - and I tend to buy mostly when they have an additional sale on sale items. This cardigan was one of those bargain deals -- I picked up it up for only $20. It was a size larger than I typically wear, but I figured since it is supposed to have a more of a relaxed look - it would work. It has been perfect this winter - and it even washes up perfectly, which is what I like because I do not like to pay for dry cleaning. I have actually started to wash most of my wool items at home using this shampoo. And, so far, I have not had any issues and I love the smell - it is much better than the dry cleaning perfume-odor.
And, how about my lace-up boots.... I mentioned Nine West in my post from earlier this week, but I had picked up a pair of lace up boots a few years ago at Ann Taylor. I did not think I had the courage to wear them - so I returned them, which seems to be a pattern with me. (And, these Ann Taylor boots were really cool. They were platforms and were a mix between Victorian-style and a bowling shoe. I am still bummed I returned them.) Well, when these came out this year - and lace-up boots were all over style blogs and on the runways, I knew I did not want to pass-up another pair of cool boots; so, I waited until the big Black Friday sales - and bought them for less than half price.
Are you catching a theme?... I am a BARGAIN shopper. I "stalk" stores for the best price. And, if I see a better price at one store - I will contact my preferred store - and ask if they will match the price. Nordstrom is very good about matching prices - as long as the other store has the same item (and size) you are going to buy. And, best thing, you can use their "live chat" and multi-task while getting a better deal! (Also, I do most of my husband's shopping - and I bargain shop for him, too. I recently picked up two Hugo Boss suits that typically retail for $800 and got each of them for under $300.)
(Side note: My hair! I have been trying to grow out my bangs and my layers (for two years) for an different look. I just got my hair cut - and my hair keeps getting shorter, rather than longer. It is so frustrating!)

Such a great look, Lisa! I love that layered necklace and those lace up booties! Sorry about your hair frustration! I didn't notice anything but man, I am so picky about the slightest fraction of an inch wrong on my own hair, so I know you feel!
