SALES
Today is Amazon Prime Day.  I have had Amazon Prime for years.  I love it - for a low cost - I can get two day shipping on so many things, plus they offer certain movies and shows free to Prime members.  My husband and I are in the middle of a kitchen remodel - and it has been perfect for ordering all the different things we need (and need quick!) - like our new farm sink and our reverse osmosis water system.  On most weeks, we have one to two deliveries from Amazon - because we  order just about anything through Amazon - like a new remote (to replace the one I accidentally washed with the sheets), a lot of grocery-type items - like dried cherries (which I add to my Ghirardelli chocolate chips and walnuts to make my own trail mix), a styling product for my hair (which smells like the beach and is a lot cheaper than in the salon), cleaning products (mop and Swiffers), and so much more!

Amazon also sells a lot of designer clothing. Today they are offering up to 30% off shoes, accessories, and clothing, as well as 100,000 deals throughout the day!  (Most of the items are free return shipping - but you will want to check. One item I ordered was not free return shipping - and it was not cheap to return it - so check carefully.)

Amazon Prime members can get two day shipping at stores like Shopbop, too. Today and tomorrow  Shopbop has 25% off all designer sale items (Code: Designer25).

THOUGHT OF THE DAY
“His Word states that we have been given the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16) and therefore we should not say negative and unbiblical things about our mind and thinking processes… Our words do have power. I encourage you to begin right now to use them to exercise positive power over not only your mental health, but also your physical well-being and everything that affects your life and the lives of the people you love."

The quote above is from a book I have started to read called Power Thoughts by Joyce Meyer, which talks about the power of our words.  The words we say to ourselves are far more powerful than we think.  What we say - is what we can begin to believe - and if we dwell on those thoughts long enough - it is what can happen.  We need to stop the negative thinking and discouraging talk, and instead speak about good and positive things.  We need to say what we want - rather than what we don’t have. It is so easy to become trapped in feeling defeated or comparing our lives to others.  I know I am guilty of this.  It is so easy because we are surrounded by so many distractions of what others have through social media that we may begin to think what we have is not good enough.  We can become so focused on negative thoughts that we become trapped in thinking the worst, rather than being thankful for what we have and all that is good in our lives.

  1. I've always loved those colors together! It's so true about the words that you put out there. I'm always careful of the language I use around my children for that very reason.

  9. I don't wear a lot of yellow and I don't know why. The pops of turq look great with it and I also love that neutral lippy.
