They other week it seemed like each day I stepped on a land mind.  It was just one of those weeks. I was emotionally drained - and defeated.  At that time, I needed to make some decisions - and all I wanted to do was get them over with.  Then, I was reminded of Dr. Charles Stanley’s acronym HALT.  He says that we should not make any decision if we are too hungry (H), angry (A), lonely (L) or tired (T).  When we are emotionally wrapped up in a situation - we should stop and step back.  Most decisions do not need to be made immediately.  We need to take time to pray about the situation and make the most informed and guided decision. We only see what is in front of us at the moment - but God sees the whole picture.
