This post may look a little similar to a previous post - but one shoulder, ruffle striped tops are big trends and there are so many cute tops, I wanted to show a few more save vs. splurge options.  And, both options for the leopard sneakers are a great deal (both are under $100).  Also, mules are very popular this spring/summer.

I think my new mules are going to be my favorite sandal this year.  Each year, I buy a “trendy” new sandal - that I wear it all season long. This year these sandals are "it". A few years ago, it was my comfy flat sandal and last year it was my lace up sandal.

MY TOP FIVE MULE/SLIDE PICKS

 1. These are very comfortable and a great transitional mule because they are really just an open back loafer (so your toes are not exposed). They come in snake print, suede, velvet, and even metallic colors.

2. These chunky block heel mules with the crossover detail are a top pick.

3. This color kind of reminds me of my great aunt - and the color of the walls in her house. This sandal definitely has a “springy” vibe.

4. This mule will make a statement - and I love this “poppy” color!

5. Embroidery is a big trend this season - and these embroidered mules are definitely on trend.

And, since I love shoes so much, I had to order these (they are not mules - but another trend - probably not as widely popular - but still a runway trend). They are kind of funky - and I am not sure about the platform - but for the price, I thought they would make a fun shoe!

WHAT I PICKED OUT FOR MY MOM

A few days ago, I was out with my mom, and we went to Nordstrom for lunch. At some point, my mom sat in something and got stains in her pants. Since we were at Nordstrom, she decided to do some shopping for new pants.

I picked out this cute striped top with buttons down the back. And, I paired it with these khaki green jeans.  She looked so cute - and she said she felt so much more put together (and was kind of glad she had to go shopping).  She paired it all with her black loafers - hers are no longer available - but these are similar.
