Summer Q + A and More About Me

Don't you love that porch swing?  I think I could sit on that for hours.

Today, I am sharing a little more about me in a Summer Q & A with The Blended Blog. 

1. WALK OR BIKE

I would probably say walking over biking. Although, I do have a “vintage” mountain bike - that supposedly avid collectors would love to have.  

2. FAVORITE PICNIC FOOD

That is so difficult to pick.  I love so many picnic foods - hot dogs, potato chips, potato salad...! (This is the best potato salad recipe.)

3. POOL OR LAKE

I would probably say pool - because the water is clear.  Although, some of my favorite memories when I was growing up include going to the lake.  Each year my family would spend a week or two at a family cottage.  I loved it!  I would spend my days swimming, fishing, tubing, going on boat rides, and ending the night with a bonfire.

4. FAVORITE ICE CREAM FLAVOR

For traditional flavors, I would probably say mint chocolate chip or chocolate chip cookie dough (Ben & Jerry's is my favorite brand).  For more artisan ice cream - this is my favorite place - it is so good!

5. DISH OR CONE

I am a dish person.  Funny story - I was at Dairy Queen recently, and I told the girl I wanted a dish of vanilla ice cream.  She looked at me puzzled - and said - "I don't know what that is".  When I said I wanted a "cup of ice cream" - she got it!  I thought the words were pretty interchangeable - but I guess not.

6. FLIP FLOPS OR SLIDES

I would probably say flip flops - these are my absolute favorite brand.  But, I recently, purchased these slides, and I look forward to wearing them this summer.  And, I keep thinking about these!

7. JEAN SHORTS OR CAPRIS

Jean shorts - these are my favorite. 

8. FAVORITE SUMMER FRUIT

Probably watermelon and strawberries.  I love a watermelon and mint salad (made with salted cucumbers, radishes, arugula, and champagne vinaigrette).  And, I love strawberry shortcake - made with freshly picked homegrown strawberries.

9. CORN ON THE COB ON/OFF COB

I am a cut off the cob person.  Too much corn gets stuck in my teeth the other way.

10. BIKINI, TANKINI, OR ONE PIECE
