A little back story on yellow and black. When I was younger I ice skated on a competitive synchronized skating team. One year our coaches picked yellow and black dresses - and I thought - what an awful color combination. And, on top of it, we had to buy yellow and black travel outfits. I really did not like those colors together at all. I felt like a "bumblebee". Fast forward several years - and now I really like the color combo together! Funny how our style opinions change over time.

Aw, I love your ice skating backstory! That is too cute! I think you need to send me a pic of you + your team in those costumes. :) Also LOVE that white blazer outfit!! That short sleeve blazer top is super chic!
ReplyDeleteHa! I will have to see if I can dig up any photos (although, they are from my really awkward hair days - when for some reason I thought short, permed curly hair looked good - I'm not sure what I was thinking!)
DeleteI used to never pair black and yellow together for the same reason and now I love that color combo! That black dress with the yellow bag is such a cute outfit!
