I did just a little shopping during Black Friday - actually most of the deals I bought were "Black Friday" sales that started a few weeks ago. I bought that fair isle sweater for 40% off. I "tried" to buy some new boots - but instead the store sending the boots I ordered they shipped me this very expensive leather shirt jacket. It is a nice jacket - but I would have rather had my boots.
Has anyone else received something they totally did not order? This past summer I ordered a dress from Old Navy - and instead of an adult dress I got a 2T (toddler) dress. It was just a bit small :)
And, there have been more instances of wrong items.
I am trying not to buy much right now - because I am not going anywhere; however, I need some excitement to what I want to wear each day - so I picked up this fair isle sweater for 40% off. I love the colors. I am typically not a print person - but these colors and the fair isle pattern is one that I like.
Also, those combat boots are one of my favorite purchases - I have worn them so much.

I shared this Fair Isle Sweater on Instagram over the weekend - and it got the most likes I have gotten lately. It is on sale for 50% off - and a great deal!
As you already now because it is hard to miss - there are a lot of great Black Friday deals are happening... Yesterday I shared one of my gift guides - with everything 50-60% off.
I hope you had a great weekend! My weekend consisted of finishing Season 4 of The Crown, celebrating my mom's birthday, making cabbage rolls for the first time that were pretty good, and baking one of my favorite desserts - cranberry tarts. These tarts would be a great dessert option for Thanksgiving.
Also, I helped my husband hook-up an antenna cable to one of our TV's. We had to feed the line from the crawl space (we don't have a basement) into the wall - and we struggled with that for probably over an hour. We finally got it - and then realized we didn't have a coaxial cable to connect it - so not finished just yet!
I can't believe next week is Thanksgiving. This year will be different because we will not be celebrating with all of our family, but I look forward to next year!
Today I am sharing a few of my favorite winter jackets. I tend to buy puffer jackets because they are warmer; however, I love a leather biker jacket.
For years, I have been loyal to North Face - all the way back to the 90's. And, before that Pategonia. As much as I love both of those, a few years ago, I got this puffer jacket- and, I have to say it is warmer - and a better jacket for warmth (and a little extra style) in the winter. I also love the shiny red and oversized zippers. I liked the jacket so much I got it in the camo print.
MY DAILY FINDS & DEALS
Any chance this jacket becomes as popular as the hat?
U.S. hockey coach Herb Brooks unites a motley crew of college athletes and turns them into a force to be reckoned with at the 1980 Winter Olympics.
This movie was fun for me to watch since two of the hockey players on the 1980s team were from my ice arena - and I used to see their Olympic banners hanging in the ice arena when I skated.
Frustrated that his baseball team can't afford big-money players, Oakland A's general manager Billy Beane bets on a bold new strategy to change the game.
This movie is based on a real story - and makes you believe that all things are possible.
I know it is only November - and not even Thanksgiving yet - and this week the temps were in the 70s - but I am starting to get excited about Christmas.
Have you watched any Christmas movies yet? This movie is heartwarming - and a favorite of mine.
It's Black Friday deals at Walmart starting tonight at 7pm. You can get a sneak peak of the deals HERE. There are some great deals on clothing - like 40% off this brand that has a lot of cute sweaters and dresses - some I even ordered. Also, these Apple AirPods are 25% off. This digital air fryer is 50% off.
Also, Sephora is having its holiday savings event with up to 20% off.
I hope you had a great weekend. Today, I am sharing my $35 leopard puffer jacket. It is a great light weight puffer jacket. It is poly-fill and not down, and it washes up great. I liked it so much I also bought it in white. If you are looking for a down version - I found this down-filled leopard vest.
Over the weekend, I watched the movie The Social Dilemma on Netflix. I know there is AI (artificial intelligence) at work behind the scenes in everything we do related to social media; however, when I watched the movie, it really hit me as to how we are being watched and in turn manipulated. And, how this is influencing our society. There are really big ethical questions about what is being done - and how are actions are being "played" and "sold" for profit.
A few quotes for thought from the movie...
“We’re the product. Our attention is the product being sold to advertisers.” - Justin Rosenstein, former engineer Facebook and Google, co-founder of Asana
“We’ve created a world in which online connection has become primary. Especially for younger generations. And yet, in that world, anytime two people connect, the only way it’s financed is through a sneaky third person whose paying to manipulate those two people. So we’ve created an entire global generation of people who were raised within a context with the very meaning of communication, the very meaning of culture, is manipulation.” - Jaron Lainer, founding father of Virtual Reality Computer Scientist
“We’re training and conditioning a whole new generation of people that when we are uncomfortable or lonely or uncertain or afraid, we have a digital pacifier for ourselves. That is kind of atrophying our own ability to deal with that.” - Tristan Harris, former design ethicist at Google and co-founder of Centre for Humane Technologies
This all made me think even more at what I do as a digital influencer. I want to be honest and true to who I am and what I share. It has really started to bother me more and more about how we (as a society) are being "influenced" by influencers. I know is it is a form of marketing - but it is on a much deeper level. The level of trust the society puts on influencers - is a bit scary - if you really think about it.
